First Communion

is our parish religious education program offered for children who attend non-Catholic schools from preschool through 8th grade. The program is led by volunteer catechists as stewards of faith.

REQUISITOS

  1. ​Debe tener 7 años de edad o más y estar en 2do. grado de la escuela

  2. haber sido bautizado en la Fe católica

  3. Asistir a clases de catequesis el tiempo que indica la parroquia para recibir el Sacramento

  4. Los Padres deben de estar registrados en la parroquia y ser miembros activos.​

  5. Los estudiantes son instruidos en el Sacramento de la Penitencia antes de la Primera Comunión; y se les da la oportunidad de ir a la Primera Confesión antes de recibir el Sacramento.​

  6. Se espera que todos los Padres de familia apoyan a sus hijos en su preparación de sacramentos, y asistan a las reuniones de Padres.​

  7. NOTA IMPORTANTE:

  8. Siguiendo la ley Canónica, los niños no necesitan padrinos ni madrinas para recibir el Sacramento de Primera Comunión.

REGISTRACION

1. Debe llenar la Aplicación de Registro y ambos Padres deben dar su consentimiento firmando el formulario. Si alguno de los Padres tiene la custodia legal, debe traer copia de los documentos de la corte.​

2. NECESITA traer:

Certificado de Nacimiento

Certificado de Bautizo

3.  Pago de clases (basado en tarifas actuales). El pago se puede hacer en efectivo y/o cheque .

4.  Solamente el Padre, Madre o Tutor debe inscribir al niño(a).

No está permitido que los Abuelos, tios o familiares inscriban el niño/a, salvo que sean los tutores legales autorizados por una corte.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must be 7 years of age or older.

  2. Have been baptized in the Catholic Faith.

  3. Attend catechetical classes for the time indicated by the parish in order to receive the Sacrament.

  4. Parents must be registered in the parish and be active members.

  5. Students are instructed in the Sacrament of Penance before First Holy Communion; and are given the opportunity to go to First Confession before 1st holy communion​

  6. Parents are expected to support the children in their preparation of the sacraments, and attend the parent classes.​

  7. Following Canonical Law, the children will not need a “Godparents” to receive the sacrament of Communion.

REGISTRATION

​1.  A completed registration form signed by the parents. If you have the legal custody of your child, you must bring the Court Documentation.

​​​

2.  NEED to bring:

  • Birth Certificate

  • Baptism Certificate​

 

3.  Payment for Faith Formation classes (based on current fees). Payment can be made in the form of cash,  check or Credit Card at the Parish Office.

4.  Only the parent or guardian should register the child.

  • Grandparents, aunts, uncles or relatives are not allowed to enroll the child, unless they are the legal guardians authorized by a court.

La preparación de Primera Comunión es un proceso consecutivo de aprendizaje. Este sacramento se recibe al final de 2o grado escolar
